Cottage Cheese Scones :

What you will need :

Ingredients

  • 500 ml Flour
  • 45 ml Brown sugar
  • 10 ml Baking powder
  • 2.5 ml Bicarbonate of soda
  • 2.5 ml Rosemary, finely chopped
  • 2.5 ml Sage, finely chopped
  • 5 ml Salt
  • 45 ml DairyBelle Butter, chopped
  • 80 ml Milk
  • 1 cup DairyBelle Smooth or Chunky Cottage cheese (flavour of choice)
  • 1 Egg white
  • DairyBelle Easy Slice cheese

How to Make it :

STEP 1:

Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, herbs and salt together.

STEP 2:

Crumble the butter into the flour mixture.

STEP 3:

Combine the milk, cottage cheese and egg whites together.

STEP 4:

Mix the wet ingredients and dry ingredients together until soft, don’t over mix.

 

STEP 5:

Roll the dough out and cut with a cookie cutter into the size and shape you want.

STEP 6:

Bake in a pre-heated oven of 200°C for about 20 minutes.

To serve: break the scone in half and top with a slice of DairyBelle Easy Slice cheese.
